The Human Side of AI

My goal for PhotoPacks.AI was simple - use AI to provide convenient, professional photos at an affordable rate. Since launching in February of 2024, our team has received a lot of feedback from our customers. Most of the feedback has been incredibly positive! A few instances...not so much. All of the feedback, both glowing and critical, serves as motivation to keep improving our product and serving our users.

Recently, however, we received a message from a customer that left our team speechless. Kellie was kind enough to let us share her and her family's story.

"I am writing you this email to tell your company just how much I love the photos you created for me of my son, Ethan! Ethan is 20 and has severe epilepsy and autism. He functions as a toddler and lives with extreme anxiety everyday. We have tried his whole life to get good pictures of him and family photos. When he graduated out of high school my heart ached because I knew every photographer we have hired has struggled getting him to even participate. Like most moms I have a phone full of photos of my children. When I saw your ad and the cost I knew it would be worth the money to try! We received the 100 headshot pack and found 10 of the photos that are perfect! This has brought happy tears to myself and several other people! Thank you so much!"

To say that we were humbled by this message is an understatement. It's not every day that we hear how our work touches lives in profound and unexpected ways. As we emailed back and forth, Kellie continued to share with me her family's deeply personal story.

"Ethan has such a beautiful face and we love that he can now have his photo next to his siblings. The difference is he was not asked to pose, dress up or travel. I just can’t thank you enough! My heart is bursting ♥️."

I mentioned to Kellie that, to be perfectly honest, I did not imagine this sort of scenario and how PhotoPacks.AI could help people in this way. She mentioned that it can be difficult to imagine dealing with circumstances like this without living it. Kellie was happy to share the story of her family’s challenges knowing that it could help out other families in similar circumstances.

"Most people have no idea what it could do for them. If you don’t have a family member with a severe disability, it is hard to imagine the things that are impossible for families like ours. When I came across your website, I thought it was worth the risk to get a photo of Ethan that he didn't have to dress up or pose for. I have several snapshots that I have loved but never one that we felt was professional quality. Wednesday morning I took several pictures of Ethan playing in his dad's recliner. We printed one of the photos from the AI pack and displayed it on our mantle. When you look at these pictures, you'll see how well you've done at capturing who my son truly is. His smile, his eyebrows - they are his genuine expressions that we cannot catch when you set him up in a scenario with a photographer."

We are so grateful to Kellie for allowing us to share her family's story. Although we understand the deeply personal nature of the photos that are shared with PhotoPacks.AI, we are occasionally still humbled by the true depth of what these photos mean. Each photograph is more than just pixels; it represents who you are, and we are honored to be a part of it.
